Remarkable School Caretaker Brian Ecclestone has retired after spending more than six decades as a tradesman. The 80-year-old took up the post at Castle Academy, in Mow Cop, back in June 2002 after leaving his previous job as a handyman. Since then, he hasn’t missed a single day of work as has served under five different primary headteachers.
