The funeral has taken place in Frodsham Parish Church of John Charles Miller, the town’s oldest resident, who passed away aged 105. When the Second World War broke out he joined the Fire Service, During the war he was sent to Bournemouth as a very experienced ‘and very fast driver’. When he eventually left the fire service he became a school caretaker until full retirement at the age of 65.
