POLL: How do you listen to music?

I love to listen to music of various genre but I am a sucker for good quality. Most of my music is in FLAC or AIFF lossless formats these days and I prefer 24bit. Gone are the days I could tolerate 128 mp3.

Most of my music is stored on my PC. I have a USB cable which runs from the PC to a 2Qute DAC which plugs into a Marantz stereo amplifier. I have recently purchased B&W's new 703 S2 speakers.

I also put my favourite tracks/albums on a memory stick and play them in the car. My car system also plays 24bit FLAC up to 192htz.

Guess I am a bit 'special' when it comes to music. I'm a bit of an Audiophile. I hark back to the days when you sat in a dimly lit lounge and listened to an entire album. Nothing better than clearing your mind of all thoughts and just listen intensely to your favourite prog-rock album. Something my kids can't understand these days. But then, I can't understand how they can listen to a 3 minute track on a tinny little smart phone or use them darn awful ear pod things. If you have earphones, you've got to have proper jobbies.

So, it got me wondering how do you all listen to music?

I'll turn this into a poll so you can pick your options. If I have missed an option, just post a rely and explain how you listen (if you actually listen to music at all that is). You can pick as many options as you like... [Success.png]

DAB radio in my office.
Just had an Amazon Echo for my Birthday, what a brilliant bit of kit and still to find a band she doesn't know.

I am a Spotify nut and store my music to play off line. Lets face it you cant mop without music and I put it through the school system and have it loud. Fortunately, unfortunately, I dance in the same fashion as I mop so I have a good time without others taking the pish. [Success.png]
Don't argue with fools! They'll bring you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

I used the cord version of ear-pods and as far as earphones go they are actually surprisingly good quality with good range. they even have a vent to give the open ear effect.

I can understand why you wouldn't like them but if you want to listen to your prog-rock while out and about then they would be the best option. just saying

Years ago I used to listen to 'The Wall' album on LP with headphones on in bed after a weekend beer sesh to lull me to sleep but it used to wake me up with a bump when track ten came on 'one of my turns' when the bloke starts smashing his apartment up. [JawDropped.png] [Loud.png]

Music has always played a big part of my life since hearing Buddy Holly when I was knee high to an ant. Currently DAB in my office and kitchen at home also in the car, Bluetooth also in the car from my mobile. Bluetooth portable speaker at home (YouTube Google play etc) almost audiophile hifi system at home playing vinyl CD minidisk and (gulp) cassette.
I also remember listening to an album while trying to work out the hidden meaning on the sleeve.
