No rumours here, since going over to academy as advised by government 5 years ago we have lost 25 CO's and 8 support staff with half of us now on part time (term time only) which makes it almost impossible for us full timers to get leave entitlements during set periods. Then we get moaned at for not sticking to HT's directive. No overtime payments to anyone.
I think we are all still lucky to have a job as I am sure recent governments are trying their best to close down education the same as the NHS.

The government is taking money out of schools. Two local primary schools shutting down round here. Class sizes through the roof in schools taking on the displaced pupils. This country is going to hell in a handcart at the moment.

We will all be up the creek without a paddle (think we already are).

I read somewhere this week that 7% of the people in this country were millionaires and that 78% of the house of commons were millionaires. How on earth can they know what is like in the real world. We need real people in government not these pocket lining, lying cheats that are in charge. House prices are now 8 times the average wage. What chance has anyone except the rich who just buy more to rent out at over high prices.

no rumors just they keep saying no money. Yet we've gone from 1 HT,1DT, 1 BM and 1 caretaker 2 years ago to 1 Executive head, 1 head of school 2DH, SENCO, welfare officer, premises manager 1 BM (with 1 assistant ) and little old me........ can't think where all the money has gone. :icon_undecided: With the new minimum wage the cleaners are fast catching me up yet I have so much more responsibility. Good job I love my job
