These places do tend to err on the side of caution at the slightest symptom.

I remember going to the docs in the summer. The receptionist asked me if I had any symptoms...and --- censored word --- law, no sooner had I said no than I accidentally breathed in my own spit and had a coughing fit.
The lady looked at me like I had just kicked a pensioner.
