Returned to Work

Well after having 7 weeks off with "mental burnout" I returned on Monday. On medication now till who knows when and taking each day as it comes. As the saying goes "It's ok to be not ok" so please look after your mental health and don't be afraid to ask for help. I must say when I came in on Monday the out pouring of love and heartfelt good wishes was amazing and made all the difference. Onwards and upwards.

Really glad for you bud.

Re: Returned to Work

I have been there myself Andrew but take it very easy and at the first sign of things turning bad again then go back off to the Dr. I had my burnout 2 years ago but have had 2 more episodes since then and tried to go on but things just got worse so as soon as you feel vulnerable, get it sorted. Remember that you and your help are more important than the job. Take care
You are only as young as your knees let you feel.

Re: Returned to Work

I have said here many times before, NUMBER 1, ME AND FAMILY, your job (any employer) will expect THEM to be Number One, but there`s more of THEM than there is of YOU/ME, at the end of the day, no matter how much emotional effort you invest in them, no matter how much phisical effort you put in, they will always want MORE, then when it come to the crunch, they will have no loyalty to you whatsoever.
