£500 to build a tool kit geared towards compliance

You have £500 to spend to build a tool and equipment kit FROM SCRATCH - Geared mainly towards compliance checks and potential remedials.

So far I have
Drill (possibly 2 pack depending on brand)
Generic hand tool set (Vaunt do a good set on ITS)
WD40, 3-in-1 oil, etc.
Cable tie assortment
Fire Extinguisher tamper tags
Thermometers for water checks
Allan key set
Tool bag / organisers
socket set
Adjustable wrenches
Pipe wrench
Mole Grips
Various sticky tapes ie. electrical, gaffer etc.
Screw pack
Nut and bolt pack with washers

What else? I will edit this as people add things.

Jigsaw and an angle grinder. You may be lucky and get one in a set with a drill. Gorilla glue. Get some deep sockets for the socket set as they are handy for outdoor play equipment.

Re: £500 to build a tool kit geared towards compliance

Tbh your not gonna get much change from £500 after buying tha
If we are talking FROM SCRATCH then i would add some further items for remedials (not so much for Compliance)

O/Door Broom & Shovel- daily playground checks would require these i suppose
Drain rods & Plunger- more just tool starter kit really
telescopic tree pruning tool/saw- defo useful for some of the more minor remedials on the Arb report
Opinions are like Derry-airs, everyone has one, but some stink and are full of the brown stuff [Success.png]

I'm thinking purely compliance checks, perhaps fitting new door closers etc, not general grounds keeping. I agree though, if talking the whole package, o/door stuff is a must. I've put secateurs in just incase fire escapes or escape routes have pesky branches in the way.

If you buy a drill, chose a decent one that takes batteries and has other compatible things for future purchase. I have Screwfix ones, drill/SDS/jigsaw/circular saw/strimmer/lawnmower all use the same batteries so you can buy bare units in the future. Don't forget some Long Weights/Rainbow paint/Sky Hooks whilst your at it [Big grin.png]

Re: £500 to build a tool kit geared towards compliance

When I started to become ill, I removed all my tools.
Relief CT, complained that he had nothing tools wise.

£1500 later, school had a great kit.

(If you and I were in the staffroom, it would be the only even prime number.)

Come the revolution, I won't be able to afford the petrol to get there.

Haha, schools can buy that one themselves, this is a kit for the boot of my car when I go around and do compliance work, PPM and periodic stuff.
