I had enough to do being a caretaker in one school, let alone multiple sites

It's hard... Trying to please everyone as you have two of everything to do.

No one realises you look after both schools as they are never interested in you so when you don't do something straight away they go and moan.

Wish it were just one school.
I often wonder why its easier to complain than praise?
Understanding and co-operation is sadly lacking in schools towards caretakers from the staff etc....
When we are wanted they are all nice, when we ask for something they moan!
Men live their lives in quiet desperation when it comes to the opposite gender!
Don't trust anyone, they will only hurt you!
Its a sad situation really :(

I was just about to go over two sites. Next step in my career so long as I at least have an assistant on one.

I used to be a mobile caretaker for a housing association and looked after about 30 sites - blocks of flats, big external estates or shared houses with just a tiny communal porch. Used to get the odd spurious complaints from tenants now and again that I hadn't been on site so thereafter used to make a point of banging the end of the hoover against their front door as I went round to clean, or develop a nasty hacking cough as I was litterpicking their front garden first thing in the morning :icon_badgrin:
We will never see progressive change until people stop believing what they read in newspapers

Good question but why do you ask ?
Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow. Don't walk behind me, I may not lead.
Just walk beside me and be my friend.

I looked after 2 sites and private nursery for 15 years, I was happy all ways had stuff to do I like to keep busy sitting around is no good for you really . One good plus side you can't be in two places at the same time so when one School ring and moan or ask where you are you just blame it on the other site they always expected that excuse. I look after one big site now , no one to blame now :( one good tip don't have a Walkie talkie keep to mobile phone it's funny how office staff except it when you do not answer your phone but don't except you not answering your Walkie talkie !
