Hours
Just wondered how many of the members on here still do a split shift pattern? What hours are members currently doing for there shifts? I personally think if you are on your own then a split shift is enevitable but if there is a team of site staff then working a shift pattern straight through has got to be better ?
When the going gets tough the tough get going!

Re: Hours
When I was working, I started at 7.00am-11.00am 2.30pm-6pm then 6pm-10pm every evening and Saturndays 7.30am - 1.00pm approx for lettings (lettings every other week as I shared it with my assistant).

Re: Hours
0700 to 1100 then 1430 to 1800 (1500 to1800 Friday), 37 hours week.
Currently- 0730 to 1100 then 1430 to 1715 daily. Additionally Wednesday "working from home". HT wants to keep the hours to a minimum to reduce exposures.
Cleaners are doing 1 1/2 instead of 2 a day, but we only have circa 60/450 pupils at the moment. Enhanced cleaning during the day as well.
Very few staff are in 5 days a week, most have a "working at home" time, with TA's doing 2/3 days at school only, teachers 2/3 as well and support staff 4/5 days dependent on roll.
We will of course revert to normal hours if Boris says we can???
Depending on what needs doing, I am always in early and will stay later if required- we can't book overtime unless it exceeds our "normal" hours or has been agreed (alarm callouts still count).

Re: Hours
Many years ago I did, 06.30 until 09.00 then 09.30 until 12.00 then 15.00 until 18.00.
Nowadays it is officially 06.30 until 14.30 but I am generally in school at 5.45 as some of our SLT like to be in at 06.00. If I have finished my jobs I may leave abut 15 minutes before the official time.

Re: Hours
Normally 6.30 to 9.30 then 2pm to 6.30. During lockdown slt open up and I’m on 10-6.
I think the idea is that I get some of the more major jobs done while it’s quiet, plus a bit of support for the two office staff there are in. It doesn’t really suit but I’m happy to go along with it for the time being.
