Re: Speed limiters

Back in the 60's and 70's speed restrictors were a bolt put under the accelerator, so when you pushed down on the accelerator it would only go down as far as the bolt, you could take the bolt out though or hire it up to lesson the speed. -Happy.png-

Plenty for sale on car gurus but at £1.5 million and only a 2 seater -Shock.png- no room for the wife dogs or grandchildren.
Wait a minute, maybe that's not such a bad idea after all -Big grin.png-

Bugatti veyron tyres $42,000 a set -Scared.png- If you`ve got the money fair enough, it`s all about pride of ownership and boasting but a bit academic having a top speed of 267 mph when you can only do 70 mph max on motorway -Wink.png-

Many years ago hired a couple of small boats on the broads, uncle and aunt in one me Dad and mum in the other, we were trying to race each other but they were limited to 5 mph, me and Dad got the engine cover off and found the throttle limit screw and "adjusted" it, only gained a couple of mph`s but we won -Success.png-

If you should do a high speed run at 250+ i have read somewhere, you will have to replace the tyres immediately afterwards as the tyre manufacturer will not accept liability for the tyre after doing that speed because of possible internal damage to the tyre carcass. -JawDropped.png-
