Oh yes it's started alright!
All projects, maintenance, annual servicing planned like a military operation.
Until the CO's "Pop" in, with their, "Could you Justs"
Could you "Just" redecorate my room?
Could you "Just" move all my furniture to another classroom? (Which already looks exactly like this one!)
Could you "Just" Install new display boards in every classroom!
Excreta, Excreta!
Oh, it's started alright!
I well remember those "Could you Justs"...

The big dilemma for me was the INSET days ahead of the kids returning in September. I always managed to get the school scrubbed up in spite of it being a building site for most of the holiday. Then staff began to trickle in & started filling up bin bags & emptying cupboards & recovering display boards. By the time of the INSET day, four weeks of hard work had already been undone. The Head would call us all into the assembly hall to give us a pep talk. People would come in with their cups of coffee & put them down on my highly polished floor. If I did not get there first they would also drag the plastic bucket seats across the floor. I despaired. Just glad that I am out of it now.

This is our 4th week of the summer break, got 7 weeks this year? My school has been a building site for months. Heat pump installation, it was supposed to have been completed in April. Yesterday was another day without anyone on site apart from their site manager, Threw my dummy out of the pram big time last night. Today we have lots of bodies onsite.
Nearly completed my summer schedule, couple of little jobs to finish tomorrow, then off till 22nd. last week I will just be pottering around,
