Hours of work: 27 hours per week
Working pattern: Part-time
As the position is part-time the above salary will be pro rata

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2009 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2009 Regulations.

If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2009 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.


We are looking for a friendly and capable individual with practical skills to join our team. You will be responsible for identifying and undertaking tasks to ensure that our site and building are maintained and improved, in order to provide the best possible learning environment and facilities for our staff and children.

Working Hours (negotiable): 7am to 12noon (daily) during term-time with a 2 hour return on one afternoon or evening during the week (term-time). Flexibility to block working hours during the school holiday period.

St John’s Meads CE Primary School is a one form entry school with a distinct Christian ethos. We have enthusiastic children, hard-working staff, committed governors and supportive parents and carers. There are strong links with our local Church and community.

    • Has qualifications/experience of carrying out specialist building maintenance works in one or more areas e.g. carpentry, plastering, plumbing, electricity etc.
    • Can support and contribute to the Christian ethos of our school
