I worked a year longer than necessary but finally decided it wasn’t fair me denying someone younger all the fun of the fair -Happy.png-

My first one was in 2002, get the pension every month. Next one will be in 5 or so years. -Crazy.png-

Re: So, how many of you are retired?

I was forced out by new "management" in 2010, worked for 5 years fixing computers, then had a couple of strokes so could only cope with 2-3 hours of concentration a day and volunteered in the office for three local charities, then in March this year was advised to stay clear due to Covid-19 and being vulnerable, so only help out online these days.

Luckily my personal pensions came through giving me a higher income than my state pension will be when that starts next year.
After 28 years in one school, moving on to a new start and new lifestyle, Headmistress free! Double Stroke survivor.

Retired 4 years ago, very pleased that I am not working through the pandemic. At least I can please myself what I do all day and not having somebody dictating how I fill my day in. -Wink.png-

Re: So, how many of you are retired?

Stayed on over retirement age as they had just changed the law back then where you did not have to apply to remain working every year, left after a massive argument with the BM or to be honest i would still be there as i loved the school and the staff and children, the job has gone but not the great memories i had working in a SEND school they will remain with me until the end of time. -Like.png-
