Re: Fireworks safety

Funny, on a serious note though I've always believed that fireworks should not be sold to the public, they are a dangerous projectile explosive.

Re: Fireworks safety

What's with the fireworks. Last night it was as though the town was being blown up. Everywhere seemed to have firework displays. We've got another week yet before Guy Fulks Night or has Halloween and Guy Fulks now been combined into one event?

The air was thick with smoke last night. I wanted to look out for the Northern Lights but it was like looking through a London Smog in the 50's.

Because it's dangerous, or a projectile or explosive isn't really an argument not to sell them to the public.

Cars, cigarettes, alcohol, projectile weapons, knives the list could go on of items that some can't responsibly have, or that are just dangerous.

So many things it could be argued should be banned for a variety of reasons, I don't feel the world would be a better place for it, but opinions vary.

Re: Fireworks safety

It would seem prudent to limit the use of fireworks to just certain times of the year and/or occasions, but there is only between times when you can't let them off, 11-7 mostly, but there's no legislation to prevent all year round use of fireworks.

I think the fire works are to celebrate Cop 26 and an sense of enhanced environmental awareness

And we should marvel at the creative way we have found to insert More carbon into the atmosphere

It might be a good idea to let off a few fireworks at Cop 26, even if it is only to try and keep Joe Biden awake during the speeches...
