Lightyear 2

With a 500-mile targeted range and a sub-40K price ticket, the Lightyear 2 solar powered car is due to be available from 2025. You can shortly add your name to the 'Wishlist' which will allow you to be the first in line to pre-order their Lightyear 2 on their website.

No need to use a charger (although UK spec cars will have a plug socket) you can drive purely on sunlight thanks to its special body shaped and computer controlled solar cells.

Based on the Finland built Lightyear 0 prototype (200 units) which costs €250,000 each, the Lightyear 2 is said to look very similar.

A fully solar powered car will be a game changer and might show how future cars will be built. We might not need all those EV chargers after all

Well, it's about time they make these things nonreliant on charging stations. [Thumb_up.png]
