How much do the cleaners do?

Thanks for all your replies. Ill take these comments with me to the meeting tomorrow and hopefully get somewhere. luckily i have the backing of SLT who understand that my time is wasted cleaning when doing compliance and maintenance could be saving the school a lot of money. it seems to me that the old caretaker was predominantly a cleaner with small parts of compliance as she wasn't particular confident at maintenance hence why the cleaner has probably gotten away with it for so long. I'm going to request some time to shadow the cleaner and see what she is doing and how quickly but as you can imagine cleaning more than the cleaner yourself leaves very little time to keep an eye on her.
