The Microlino can be had with battery packs of 5.5kWh, 10.5kWh or 15.0kWh, corresponding to claimed ranges of 58 miles, 110 miles and 142 miles.
It mimics the Isetta’s front-mounted door, but unlike its spiritual forebear, the Microlino has a reverse gear, so drivers are not trapped when parking forward against a wall.
It has a top speed of 56mph and will cost £15,400 and rise to £17,100 for a 10.5kWh model, or £18,800 with the 15.0kWh battery. Looks a fun to drive second car for the city or town. Due to go on sale this year.

I remember as a schoolboy when the Isetta was introduced, it was for me laughable back then and is still laughable to me now. I wouldn’t own one, but I suppose there is a market for a small city runaround. I would guess it’s not for anyone with claustrophobic tendencies though…

Come the revolution, I won't be able to afford the petrol to get there.

Described as ‘more like a motorcycle with panels round it’ in the promotion. I can only assume they have never ridden a motorcycle
