It's official, 4Music, The Box, Kerrang, Kiss and Magic TV channels will cease broadcasting from 1st July 2024.

2 New channels from Narrative Entertainment called UK GREAT! Mystery and POP Up channels are to start shortly, but only online. Broadcasters are moving away from Satellite and Terrestrial broadcasting in favour of going online.

Users of first generation Sky receivers will begin to lose access to all remaining Sky operated channels starting from June. Sky's first generation of Sky+ boxes will no longer work after this summer.

Related, Sky is to close 14 movie and sports channels in HD switch. Sky will no longer offer UK subscribers standard definition versions of its sports channels, while four more Sky Cinema SD channels close in both the UK and Ireland.

Broadcast TV is dead.

It's outdated and far too costly in terms of equipment and particularly the TV licence (subscription service)
The sooner it's gone the better.
