(40 hrs per week Monday to Friday plus 70 hours for school events)

Queensbury Academy has an opportunity for a Site Assistant. We are looking to appoint someone to join our busy team.

Queensbury Academy is an extremely popular and over-subscribed Academy, situated on a pleasant site at the foot of Dunstable Downs in South Bedfordshire. We offer staff an outstanding induction programme; excellent support for professional development, excellentfacilities and resources and a very friendly working atmosphere.

You will need to be approachable, calm and non-judgmental and to demonstrate a wide range of office skills, be an excellent organiser, work under pressure and be adaptable.

You will be working to ensure the school can function and educational needs are met. The Site Team carries out the majority of onsite maintenance and development work.

The role can be physically demanding and candidates should be flexible and have a range of practical skills.

Additionally the Site Team supports the 6th Form Collaboration by driving the minibus between schools up to five times a day.

The Site Team is responsible for site security, the CCTV and access control systems and therefore applicants should be computer literate and able to embrace technological developments within the role.

The successful candidate will be expected to join the emergency call out list. Applicants must be fit; you will be a driver with a clean licence.

Minibus training and training on computer systems will be provided.
