Give me strength

For the last twenty years my "lunch Break" has been 10.30 - 2.30. So when I got back there is a note on my desk saying, " 12.15 you are not here, there is a lunch box in my classroom with flies crawling on it. Please move". Written under that, another note, "1.45 lunch box still in my classroom swarming with flies, come now."
I went to her classroom and said “I have just got back, could you not have put it in the bin”. She had walked the length of the school four times to my office and back, which meant she passed within six feet of the main bin area each time. She said “I have not got time to go to the bin”, must some logic in that somewhere.
The outcome was five little fruit flies near but not on the lunch box, attracted by her fruit salad lunch. This teacher is wrong on too many levels to note down here.
Looking forward to retirement, can’t come too soon.

If your opponent is quick to anger, seek to irritate him. Pretend to be weak, that he may grow arrogant." Sun Tzu (Art of War)

You couldn't make it up could you.
Don't argue with fools! They'll bring you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

Re: Give me strength

Put a note on the box next time "Please dispose of box in big bin by my office when you pass next time to leave me a message about disposing of box when I am on my 4 hr break, thankyou"

Maybe have a quiet word with their line manager? That's not acceptable IMO.

Re: Give me strength

It would still be there if one of mine spoke to me like that.

Banana skin mentality. [Big grin.png]

Older members may remember when I posted on the forum about the teacher who walked the entire length of the school to report there was a banana skin in a corridor saying it was a trip hazard. When I investigated, yes there was a banana skin on the floor in the corridor - right next to the wall mounted waste bin.

I posted that if it was such a trip hazard, then why couldn't the teacher have picked it up and put it in the bin!

The Times Ed went on to write an article about our forum https://www.tes.com/news/who-cares-caretakers

"School Caretakers declare that they are fed up with their lot, being patronised by teachers, threatened by pupils and stereotyped as smelly old men in boiler suits."

Wow, that was back in 2003 [JawDropped.png]
