I notice that there is a Private Member`s Bill going through the Commons, under the 10 Minute Rule Bill, that if carried, will require moderators of forums to be responsible for what is posted & to ensure that everybody who posts, knows the rules. I think that this forum is way ahead of the game and has no worries at all on possible future legislation. But there is a lot of really nasty forums out there that could be clobbered. Free speech does not come without certain responsibilities.

I hope this doesn't apply to live chat rooms as well. I moderate a youtube and a twitch.tv chat room for a popular gaming streamer. Twitch is usually pretty chilled but youtube kids can be very toxic, We ban them but they make a new account and are back 2 minutes later.
I'm not saying let's go kill all the stupid people.... I'm just saying let's remove all the warning labels and let the problem sort it self out.

Only forums were mentioned in the report that I read.

Is this the bill Drone https://services.parliament.uk/bills/20 ... orums.html

A Bill to make administrators and moderators of certain online forums responsible for content published on those forums; to require such administrators and moderators to remove certain content; to require platforms to publish information about such forums; and for connected purposes.

I think we do everything this bill requires already.

It seems to go on about forums and groups on facebook. I didn't think facebook had forums.

isn't having a group on facebook who talk to each other a 'forum' ? [Confused.png]

forum - a meeting or medium where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged
