Hello all, where is the best place to buy wood from please, going to make some indoor furniture, done the pallet wood for now.

Any timber merchants around your way? That's the only option around here now after the local hardware/wood shop shut.

There's Champion wood in most towns but I use Alsfords, they are cheaper and better quality control. B&Q, if you're prepared to sort you're own choice from the bent and warped pieces or Wickes, probably the cheapest anywhere, but again the quality is sometimes a bit cheap too.

I woundn't touch Homebase with a bent barge pole.

I recommend Wickes.

I use them a lot, very cheap too.
Site manager for a Greater London High school...
