In May 2018 Ofsted judged Ifield as an Outstanding school.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Site Manager in the cleaning, maintenance and caretaking activities to ensure the safety, security and sound condition of the buildings, hydrotherapy pool, facilities and grounds.

The post holder will be expected to have experience in building maintenance and/or cleaning and skills in a number of disciplines. They will also need to be flexible and self-motivated, have good communication skills and a good understanding of the health and safety requirements of a large site.

There will also be a requirement to switch shifts as required and to work evenings and weekends on an occasional basis. Overtime hours will be paid at the appropriate rate.

Please note that Ifield School is federated with our neighbouring primary school, Kings Farm and there will be an occasional requirement to work on that site when the need arises.

Ifield School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service and check against the ISA Barred List for children.
