Re: work space

My old site had an office which was literally a converted toilet. Just big enough to sit in with a desk, and a tall filing cabinet. I also had a room off the main hall which was the cleaners room, like a utility area, sink, washing machine and a small area for tools etc. Pretty poor. Here i've got a room which is about 6m x 3m, but the massive benefit is that it's an old Victorian place with high ceilings and some previous guy has fitted a mezzanine floor in it. So my workshop and store area are downstairs and my office areas is up, and it does mean i'm out of sight too, and that can be a good thing when you need a break or are trying to have lunch.
My wife asked me to pick up a loaf of bread and, if they had eggs, to get a dozen. I came home with a dozen loaves of bread.

Re: work space

No workshop but my lads and I have the run of the tech block when needed.
I have a large well lit office with all I need (fridge and kettle included) and my lads have my old large cupboard/office with computer etc. with the added bonus of a sink.

Re: work space

i feel very spoiled after reading these messages, got a workshop and a separate office.

having them is essential for me to work efficiently, saving time and money.

Re: work space

I am blessed with a 9ft by 5 ft room as my office/ store and an outside shed full of all the c#@p. Office has a pc, desk and is nice and warm as the heating pipes run right across the ceiling :-).
