Re: 🧻 Recycling paper towels

Might vary between different waste collections, but we are told that our paper towels cannot go in the recycling and have to go in general waste.

Absolutely not. Once they have been used they carry risk of contamination. you dont know if they have wiped snotty nose or spat into it. sneezed it them.. -JawDropped.png-

Re: 🧻 Recycling paper towels

we are not allowed here, but doesn't stop them putting in. Fed up of shifting through the recycling bins in classes that now if I find 1 or more paper towel the entire lot goes in general rubbish. -Angry.png-

Re: 🧻 Recycling paper towels

Absolutely not.
1. they are wet and our recycling is for mixed dry materials only. (says so on the bin)
2. there is a strong chance of body fluids (snot, saliva etc.) being on the towels so they should be bagged and put in the general waste bin.
3. it's just nasty to think what might be on them...

I would also consider other materials from the same bin as the paper towels, being contaminated and bin the lot.
Don't take chances.
i'm going to need a bigger bucket! -JawDropped.png-
