Mallard. That's well done. I don't think it would have many leaves left on it if it tried to do the high speed run the original did.

It's privet, it takes time and not a little amount of skill, but it's doable. There is a similar hedge near me that has been shaped into a steam train and coal wagon with steam coming out of the funnel. The nearest I got was adding an archway to some of my (privet) hedging in my back garden.

When my dad was an on-site caretaker, the hedge by the CT bungalow had a 3ft dog trimmed into it.

It was also written into the schools Job T&C’s that the ‘hedge dog’ had to maintained.
