Covid- how's the school fairing?
Just interested in how others are coping with covid cases? for obvious reasons, don't name the school- just geographic location, ie south east.
Our school had nothing for the whole of the lockdown (luck) but we are seeing cases every week now. Some randomness to where they are so no clear pattern of where the source is/are.
Fortunately, no serious ones amongst pupils or staff.
Primary- 2 form entry- South East.

Primary 2 form entry and pre school Northwest.
Not good, lots of cases at the moment across all year groups as many as 20 in one year group alone plus a few staff including head and dep head.
It's really quite scary here at the moment.

I am in a large secondary school and we are getting hammered . 18 staff off with positive covid tests and i have lost count of how many students. The school is in daily contact with the health board and education department.

Primary Two form entry southeast - we were getting quite a few cases and had a significant number of staff and pupils off over the month before half term (some year groups were hit particularly hard), since then it has thankfully dropped off considerably - currently there are only a couple of pupils who have tested positive, 4 who are awaiting results and no cases amongst the staff.

Re: Covid- how's the school fairing?
2 form primary in Surrey, 12 children I think, but numbers are rapidly rising, no staff off yet, had a huge argument with my HT yesterday as she implied that the rise in numbers is because I'm not doing a good enough job of cleaning toilets at lunchtime, I have to say that is the closest I've ever come to literally throwing my keys at her and telling her to stuff the job, instead I went and spoke to my line manager in the academy office.

Re: Covid- how's the school fairing?
2 form entry South East. At one point last week we had 9/10 year 3/4 kids confirmed positive, and a few testing. 2 members of staff confirmed and ill (CO and MDA).
We have had some staff who have had it twice, and others who have had it since being double jabbed.
I was asked to do deep cleans in the affected classrooms x3 after school, to which I just laughed and said absolutely pointless and unrealistic if you're expecting all other children back in the following day and aren't sending classes home.
