No more locked mobile phones

Thanks to Ofcom, from the start of this month, no mobile phones sold in the UK are permitted to be locked. Many networks used to lock a phone to the provider, preventing you from switching providers with better deals. To get a phone unlocked was sometimes difficult and sometimes expensive depending on the network.

So, all new phones are now unlocked and you can choose which providers SIM card you want to use. [Success.png]

I think the date when it came into force was 17 December. They should unlock it for free being that close.
