Snow?
Well, it's late March, according to some papers, we were supposed to be having up to 10" of snow about now.
Instead, we have had glorious sunny weather for the last week or so, and it's expected to continue for a few more days, and I've got massive bumblebees and Tortoiseshell Butterflies in my garden.

Re: Snow?
It's almost like the papers had a guess at the weather.... Surely no
In fairness it's a 50 50 choice at this time of year..

Re: Snow?
EVERY single year at the start of winter the Express/Mail have banner headlines ten foot of snow due, we will all die
It sells papers and one year they will be right, heaven forbid they would actually report news

Re: Snow?
It isn't just the Express and Mail, my local paper has been announcing 'imminent' snow pretty much every other week since late October. Apart from a few mm one day in November that most people wouldn't even classify as snow that has been it round here. It has been very sunny and pleasant the last few days and hard to remember that we are still in March.
The thing to worry about is when they predict with absolute certainty we are going to have a "BBQ summer" which almost invariably means three months of cold and rain.

I’m the eternal optimist, so my version of the above is:
The March winds will blow, but get your factor 5 ready to go

Re: Snow?
Somebody said that down here on the South Coast with all the global warming, we are unlikely to ever see snow again. Better buy a snow shovel then for next winter or maybe June
