Re: Spotted on my bird bath this evening

I had a sparrowhawk in my back garden a few years ago, I got a good look at it as it crashed into a bush at speed while chasing a small bird, sat on the ground for a few minutes, apparently dazed, then flew off. It is unusual to see any other bird of prey around here other than red kites which are abundant, there was something chasing some pigeons the other day but they were going past so quickly I didn't get a chance to identify it.

Re: Spotted on my bird bath this evening

Last time I looked down the garden it was a heron eating one of my fish (and not the first time!).

Trouble is it's illegal to shoot them - herons that is! [Angry.png]
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory!
