How to Upset your cleaning staff
This is a true story. After a period of having many of the cleaners off sick, I decided to employ one of our existing cleaners over and above my normal requirement just to cover sickness and holidays etc. I used the staff news letter to inform all of the cleaning staff. I wrote..... "From now on 'Bert' will be a floater. When he is not covering sickness he will be able to help you with those small (and big) jobs that you can't always find time to do". It wasn't until I saw 'Bert' the following day, after his wife had pointed out that the term FLOATER has another meaning and didn't like her husband being referred as one.
A Little story sent in by Nitelite
The girls in the Junior High School kept kissing the mirrors with lipstick on, so the Principal gathered them all into the restroom to see how hard the janitor has to work to get the lipstick off the mirrors. The janitor cleaned it with the toilet brush. After that the mirrors were lipstick free! The NiteLite (A Caretaker for 20yrs)
A Poem
Up before dawn, feeling all forlorn, to open the gates up at seven. Not a sound can be heard, but the tweet of a bird, no pupils about it's just heaven. Then the teachers come in and make such a din, photocopiers go at full pace. Then the pupils arrive, quick off for a skive another cup of tea would be quite nice.
The Caretaker's Prayer
As I boot up my PC,
my modem dialing next to me,
I ask the lord, give me a sign...
Will I ever get on-line?
If you kindly let me through,
I'll byte no more than I can chew,
I'll surf the waves amid the net,
with my mouse, my loyal pet.
And through each window I will see
the websites that you offered me.
Resisting any chat room's lure,
I'll download only what is pure.
If system errors don't prevail,
I vow to read all my email.
If you save me from a crash,
I'll dump my games into the trash.
Just please don't take my CD-ROM!
Thank you Lord, God bless.com
Lory, I almost forgot about Dial-up Modems. Them were the days.

Also found this...
In the corner of the playground,
Down dark and slimy stairs,
Lives a monster, with a big nose,
Full of curly hairs.
He has a bunch of keyrings,
Carved out of little boys,
He confiscates comics,
And all our favourite toys.
He wears a greasy uniform,
Looks like an undertaker,
More scary than a horror film,
He is the school caretaker

20 plus years ago, where have all those years gone?
Seems like many thousands of blocked toilet pans were cleared during that time frame
