Not new

The electric vehicle is not a new idea as many of you can remember electric milk float's but back in 1907 we had elecric buses in London and charging building's.

Re: Not new

Our local milk delivery company still uses the electric milk floats. they charge during the day from solar power on the roof of the warehouse.
For the rural areas they use a modern small electric van.

Re: Not new

I don’t remember battery electric buses but I’m old enough to remember those 6 wheeled electric trolley buses that London Transport used in the 50’s. They had long pantographs sprouting from the roof occasionally arcing and showering sparks or jumping off requiring the bus conductor to get out his long pole to realign the pantograph on the overhead gantry cables.
