Cliff_Promise wrote: 22nd Nov 2023 at 2:52pm How much do people have to be earning to get it?

Is there a salary range that don't get it? Some school(s) support staff can be on large salaries, do they still get it too?
It is a flat £1950 added to all pay grades for support staff.

However this will only apply if your school, academy or MAT follow the NJC pay scales for support staff.
If they don't then you are negotiating individually for a rise..

Re: Pay rise in april

It is available to all pay grades up to .... there is an upper limit one to which it applies- somewhere over £40K to my recollection, I think level 13 here (£47K) (those on single status and not management). Therefore most employees/support staff will get it, part time pro rata. That's if it applies to your school as per other comments. It does not apply to teachers etc.

If they start negotiating next years now we might get it in April. [Thumb_up.png]

All I will say is "Election year"

Not a chance of us getting a pay rise before next November [Gobsmacked.png]

Re: Pay rise in april

Got the email yesterday from the business manager telling us that the back pay will be in the December pay packet. Which is fantastic in one way, but Black Friday deals are this week!!!

Can't please everyone eh?! [Confused.png]

Re: Pay rise in april

Due to be paid on Thursday. Still have had no confirmation that it's to be paid this month or next. Got the pay rise last year, am assuming I'm getting it this one too.

Re: Pay rise in april

Well had a payment in November on the understanding that it was estimated and the school wanted all support staff to have it before dec. and when the pay rise comes through it would be paided back.
Well i got just over £800 in nov ( estimated ) and this months pay got my pay rise just over £500 so was deducted just over the £800. So now i'm £300 short. [Shock.png]
so not as much as i thought.

Re: Pay rise in april

The pay rise is retrospective so you need to be doing 37hrs per week and work 52 weeks per year to get the full amount.
