Run down

I guess I've got a bit run down with my mum passing away and all the work I've had to do, but today is day 3 of the worst cold I've had in years. I've even taken a covid test but that was clear. So just a bad cold. [fever.png]

Re: Run down

Take care, look after yourself and try to rest as much as possible. plenty of fluids.

Hopefully it's not the colds that keep recurring, I had it earlier in the year for around 2 months. a week feeling rubbish followed by a week or two ok then it hits you again. really not a nice cold.

We all promise to be good on here whist you are indisposed..

Re: Run down

Again CT how very sorry it was to loose your mum as when it happened to me i was devastated, and the sorting out of everything that was related to mum was a nightmare where it seemed every phone call you were talking to a robot or got so far and the line would go dead, many a time in despair i would swear at the phone and throw it down and walk away just to calm down and start over again.

it even got to a point with an electricity company i was being threatened with bailiffs to pay an outstanding bill that in the end the family said just pay it out of mums money which i did very reluctantly as i knew she never owed a penny it was due to energy companies going bust and passing her over to a new one.

As for the cold m8 i have had one on and off for months and the covid test is a result, just had my spring covid injection, stay safe. [Thumb_up.png]

Re: Run down

I'm sorry to hear this CT, but when you are posting at times like 3.15 AM after all you've gone through recently, I can't say I am surprised. Your immune system is going to be depressed with the stress and worry you've had. 3.15 am is for sleeping mate!

Try and get some rest and sleep, it will help.

Re: Run down

Thanks for all your best wishes.

I'm still suffering badly from what seems to be the worst cold I've ever had. I got in contact with my GP today and have been put on 100mg Doxycycline (antibiotic) for a week. Hopefully it will help me to win the battle with this dreaded cold once and for all.
