Sorry we are poor and don't have automatic gates but i'm sure someone will be along soon who does.

ON SITE RISK ASSESSMENTS AND TESTING
THE MOST COMMON RISKS WITH GATE AUTOMATION
Crushing – Crushing points occur in closing gaps within 500mm
Impact – Contact with a moving leaf outside of crush points
Shearing – When moving leaves closely cross fixed structures such as posts
Drawing In – Where movement can pull a body part through with it
Cutting – Sharp protrusions which can cause cutting
Entrapment – The possibility of becoming trapped when the leaf is moved
Hooking – Areas where clothing can become hooked when gate is moving

FURTHER RISK FACTORS & GOOD PRACTICE
Good practice and use of CE marked components reduce the risk of the following:

Electrocution
Hydraulic burst
Overrunning or break up
Hazards caused by faults


Isolation – Ensuring total electrical isolation by switch or plug

Pass doors – If there is a door within a larger gate extra measures will be required including interlock switches

Manual release – Gates must be moveable in manual mode requiring a force of no more than 390n

Using the manual release must not introduce further risks and re connection of the power should also be assessed for risk.

Set up of control board and remotes
CE Marking

Handover Pack – Details all aspects of the risk assessment, testing and safety devices installed by us. Signed and dated by our installer.

The company that installed and services our electronic gates provided a risk assessment for them. Maybe ask the company that services your gates.
