Lightning Fibre

Over 3 years ago, I signed up for Lightning Fibre. Well, after many delays and false promises, it does look as though they are putting the cables in our street.

As usual, I'm probably in the last part of the country that will ever get full fibre from Open Reach (still no date), but Lightning Fibre has done the impossible and got cables to our doors.

Re: Lightning Fibre

I knew it would be too good to be true. I've just found out that Lightning Fibre have gone into administration.

I'll just have to wait for Openreach to get around to installing it. [Cry.png]

Oh well better late than never I suppose [Neutral.png]

I find it amazing how fibre optic cables work and transmit the signal using varying pulses of light. The pulses are multiplexed so each strand smaller than a human hair can carry multiple signals over great distances.
I have a mechanical background and have dabbled in electronics, but fibre mystifies me [Scared.png]

Re: Lightning Fibre

Lightning Fibre are not installing any new fibre connections.

BUT, I have good news. Trooli Internet are booked for next week (Wed). They have a special offer on (until 16 April) for their top package 900mb download speed/300mb upload speed for a fixed cost of £29.99 per month for 2 years.

Fingers crossed there will be no hitches [Success.png]
