Blue Peter was first broadcast on 16 October 1958 and is the longest running children’s programme in the world.
Good ol' Biddy Baxter. Joan Noakes, Peter Purves and Valerie Singleton. They were a winning team. Some memorable moments over the years.

I remember saving the fairy liquid bottles and corn flakes boxes for the next "one they made earlier" project

We named our first German Shephard dog from the Blue Peter dog "Petra", i grew up with the programme and sticky tape and cardboard and so did my three daughters so the series has been very much part of our life.

Looking on Google Images when you put Advent Crown in, it seems they showed viewers how to make it for years. There seems to be a different presenter making it in every picture.
I think Val Singleton was making it when I was a lad, but John Noakes also made it.

I remember when Thunderbirds sold a toy of Tracy Island. They sold like hot cakes that --- (The seasonal word only permitted in December) --- and people couldn't get their hands on one.
So, Blue Peter to the rescue.

I managed to get one of those Tracy Island models for my son, probably for that same seasonal winter holiday
I've been enjoying Thunderbirds Are Go on the Talking Pictures channel recently, my mum always said I'll never grow up
