Right, I'm surfing the news this morning as I usually do. I come across this article.

In the states, this bimbo is in the news every day, now I see it here.
What makes this diva so high up there? I feel if you are going to play a big game it should be at home. Nope, seems like she is more important.
I'm just sick of seeing her in the news every day because she burped in public or went to a McDonalds or anything. What the heck makes her so special???

I think it may be our ages but I don't find her voice and songs anything other than ordinary. I think she embodies the "girl next door" image so parents may be more accepting of this, for their kids. I had to listen to it (as I'm in a group of friends that take it in turn to nominate an album that each feel is worthy of our time) and it simply reinforced what I had already thought.

It is crazy how a little can go a long way, in this wacky world of ours.

To be fair, she has been around a while, not an overnight one hit wonder.
And I think she is fairly talented - she plays guitar and piano well and sings well and writes her own songs. So I wouldn't say she is totally manufactured. And some of her songs are actually alright!

Must admit I’m not a fan of TS or the world press, although she is talented and looks nice on screen. I suppose her press agent has an itinerary that must be met.
I also don’t bother watching the news unless something important is going down.

It is just what happens in life. I was in my teens in the 70s and you couldn't get away from headlines about The Bay City Rollers, all the girls wore tartan of some kind it was everywhere. It will blow over for Taylor swift in time and someone else will appear to take her place
