Hi all,

Does anyone have any recommendations of suppliers for the purchase of a shipping container?

We are in need of some more storage for the spare chairs and tables etc.

Thanks in advance

I wouldn't know where to get them from sorry but my previous school had them. We found that after a very warm summer the inside of the container became very hot and then when it went cold it became very mouldy inside. We had to put small air vents in them and it sorted the problem out with the airflow inside. From memory I think we put about 6 in. We also found it useful to rack one side out or a small section. We then hung items off of the racking to keep it off of the floor.

We used a website container-projects.com, to purchase a brand new used once 20ft storage container.

I also get flat pack ones from Portable Space
that way they can be placed anywhere and easily moved if needed
They are not as big as a shipping container but can be joined together to make a larger space

Yes I would agree with portable spaces. We got one of the smaller ones and its well made and goes together without any persuasion. You do need a flat surface and at least 2 people to put them up, you may need more for the larger ones.
