Separated bots and users
Just for info, I've added an extension that separates registered users and allowed bots in the statistics shown at the bottom of the index page.

Re: Separated bots and users
I just noticed the site redirects were not working correctly. I'm going to post all options here so I can check them periodically. I have no idea how long these have not been working

I can’t say I understand anything about bots and user but I’m having problems logging in on my school PC. Does this have anything to do with this? Our IT technician has looked into this and can’t understand why. I’m having to use my mobile to log on to read the posts.

It may have been if you only typed in the site url e.g. https://www.thecaretakers.co.ukPalaceEagles wrote: ↑15th Mar 2024 at 11:05am I can’t say I understand anything about bots and user but I’m having problems logging in on my school PC. The site redirect that redirects all site traffic to https://www.thecaretakers.co.uk/phpBB3/ wasn't working correctly. It's all fixed now though
EDIT: Not my fault, the host added a php file for a new add-on which messed up the redirect.
Did it look like this when you visited?

Mine has just stopped allowing access too. I assume it’s the school IT dept clamping down.PalaceEagles wrote: ↑15th Mar 2024 at 11:05am I can’t say I understand anything about bots and user but I’m having problems logging in on my school PC. Re: Separated bots and users
If you get a chance, try again now. I had manually adjusted the redirect to each possible URL, not realising that the first one on the list redirects to ALL URL's anyway. So I've now removed all the individual ones and it seems to be working correctly now.
It's due to the host offering a website builder package (allowing folk with little knowledge to make their own website) and adding an index.php file at the root folder. I know normally a server will follow an index.html which is normally the first page of any website. But this index.php completely threw me not knowing how it affected things. It is obviously some means to redirect to the web builder software. I've deleted it off the server and it all went back to normal. Well, it would have done if I hadn't tried fixing it by adding load of my own redirects.
