Re: Flies
We had that last year in the shed.
Our pest control guy said it was Cluster flies.
Usually a sudden change in weather brings them out of hibernation, they will appear twice a year.
He fumigated the area, but said the pheromones left behind might attract them next season.

Re: Flies
A few years ago, My Daughter was a Resident Artist in a school located in very large grounds, she lived in a room at the very top of the building, every now and again, her room would be inundated by these `Cluster Flies` they would be coming out of the light, light fittings and every little nook and cranny, not a very nice experience to get back to after a weekend home and return to that, only stayed there for a year.
Apparently, they hatch in the grass when the weather is right and go to the highest point.
