The Primary School next to mine had The Queen visit who officially opened it. Flew in by helicopter although the red royal train stood by on the line just in case the weather turned bad and she couldn't fly back. We had some obscure MP open ours.

Ah Rhino Doesn't really count because it never happened, but I remember a few years back the keyboard player from Status Quo was going to teach music part time at our school.

My old school had Jilly Cooper (ex-pupil) once visit, someone who thought she was famous, a TV News presenter, had no idea who she was I'm afraid, if it's not Keeley Donovan or Amy Garcia (Look North Regional Programme) I wouldn't know them.
Also, had Alan Titchmarsh come to officially open our School Grounds after they got Green Flag Status. It turned out he and I spent more time chatting than him and the Head! We grew up a couple of streets apart!

Re: Has anyone famous visited your school
Ian Botham came to my secondary when I was a pupil. Didn't see him myself as I was too busy playing football.
Rick Astley, Chris Evans and Martin Fry (ABC lead singer) are former pupils at the secondaries that I have worked at. At one of the Manchester schools Paul Heaton (lead singer with the Housemartins and The Beautiful South) judged our talent competition. His only demand was for somewhere to park his push bike. He had an encouraging word for every contestant and all without any trace of inflated self-importance - great bloke.

At a previous school
Carl pilkington and marcus rashford (met him nice lad)
Sir alex made a visit once too.
Another school was used for filming SAFE a Netflix drama produced and starring Michael hall (Dexter)
The food truck on site was epic and they made sure we got free lunches..

I nearly forgot Georgie Henley was a pupil at school and she was in the three Narnia Films.

Re: Has anyone famous visited your school
We have several ex pupils who became famous, mostly in sports, but they never visited.
The nearest we have had is the local MP doing the usual schmoozing.
