Ive gone and done it

Well, I await my invite to become a permanent member of the Retirement Lounge. I handed in my notice yesterday and will finish at the start of the summer holidays in mid July. As a lot of you know I lost my school to a huge fire last year and we have moved onto a temp site behind our pile of rubble. It is not the same any more, so off I go! My Mrs has handed in her notice as a teacher and we are currently doing little jobs on the house before putting it up for sale and moving the the East Coast near Beverley. Cant wait now. Good on you! I’m 4 years off retirement but we’re hoping to sell/buy another place this summer. If I come out of it without a mortgage I will do the same!

Go for it bro. if it feels right.
My big advice (i've said it before) is stay away from daytime T.V.
It is a big change so expect a lot of strange things.

Im a good few years from retirement yet. But daytime tv is dire. You realise where people get stupid ideas from. [Scared.png]

Good on you and hope you enjoy your retirement. I finish next year and counting the days although living in an on site house I've got the problem of finding somewhere else to live.

Greta news for you Rockstar.
Relax and enjoy the last weeks of work before retirement.

We are looking at Thorngumbald or that sort of area, Preston maybe or Burstwick. Staying in Burton Pidsea in a couple of weeks and getting more of a feel for the area although we do know it quite well already.

Enjoy hearing peoples retirement plans. All the best to you an your wife. Two years to go for me, at the end of the month. (I'm marking off each month as it passes - very satisfying.)
