Mouse problems

I just started having problems with my mouse.
I know they are fairly cheap some of them ( I use a gaming mouse) but I like the feel of mine.
The left button seems to be acting up, not clicking, double clicking on its own, not holding and such.
Normally I would just get a new one but like I said, I really like the feel of this one.
Anyone got a clue as to what I can do?

Re: Mouse problems

I had the same problem a week or so ago with the left mouse button, I tried spraying Deoxit switch cleaner under the button but that only lasted a few hours. As I couldn’t see an easy way to take the mouse apart, I bit the bullet and bought a new mouse.
Sorry I can't be of more help [--- (The seasonal word only permitted in December) ---_sad.gif]

Re: Mouse problems

Only options
1. would be to strip it down to take a look, clean with switch cleaner etc.
2. you could take it to a local it shop although they would only want to sell you a new one.

Re: Mouse problems

Is it wireless?

My work mouse went bonkers.
Changed the batteries and all was good.

Re: Mouse problems

I clicked on this with interest, we've had a mouse problem, but ours has 4 legs and a tail [--- (The seasonal word only permitted in December) ---_laugh.gif] Oh for misinterpretation [--- (The seasonal word only permitted in December) ---_grin.gif] [--- (The seasonal word only permitted in December) ---_grin.gif]

Re: Mouse problems

Many thanks for the help brothers and sisters.
I cleaned it and still the problems are there. I think it just gave up the ghost.
Ordered a new one, be here tomorrow.
